The 4th Biannual GRASP Retreat & Conference is being held September 20-22 in Tucson, Arizona for families and friends who have lost a loved one due to overdose and other substance-related causes. We are a unique group whose grief is complicated by the stigma surrounding this kind of passing. We come to GRASP to find comfort and support from others who have experienced this loss.
Retreat guests will arrive and pick up their registration packets on Thursday, and attend a Meet & Greet Thursday evening, followed by two full days of conference topics and breakout sessions. The schedule is designed to help us learn more about this complex grief, understand our lost loved ones, find comfort, and facilitate the healing process, with topics such as Introduction to Complex Grief, Breakout Groups for coping with the various challenges of grief, Understanding the Science of Addiction, Introduction to Harm Reduction, and Channeling Grief into Advocacy.
