My Tribute: Matthew was a tender soul and a sharp wit who met me at my door when I needed him most. We hunkered down and he put colorful lights in his extra room which looked over the sf bay. We laughed at the apps until we fell on the floor. We watched Rachel Maddow and played case manager for each other. He went against the grain and burned bright. He tried to comfort those in need, knowing what it feels like to be lost and alone. He struggled and flourished and held on when he could. He is loved and missed.

My Tribute: Gene was 30 years drug free until he wasn’t. His least year was full of heartache and pain. I wish I could have done more. I hope you found the peace you were so desperately seeking.

My Tribute:
My darling Troy, it’s hard to believe it’s been over 25 years. A lifetime. You were a protector, my safe harbor in a sometimes scary world. Your strength wasn’t just physical; it was the way you stood by me. always. You loved me deeply, and that’s the truth I hold onto. That love is all that matters. It’s the part of you that lives on in me, in every memory, in the quiet moments when I feel you near. I miss you immensely, my heart is shattered, and I will love you always. I will always be your no matter what!

My Tribute: Adam was born on May 26, 1993. From the start he was bright, inquisitive.,energetic, sensitive & creative with a heart full of loving kindness & bright blue eyes. I called him my “Baby Blue Eyes.” I married when Adam was 5, & my husband adopted him.Unfortunately my husband died suddenly when Adam was 11 & the experience caused him tremendous heartbreak and trauma. He lost almost all joy in his life.He refused help & turned to drugs in high school 1st weed, then pills, then heroin & finally fentanyl. At 18 he admitted it to me & we began the roller coaster of detoxes & rehabs. I refused to kick him out & in between his highs and lows we spent many good loving times together. The last words he said to me were,”I love you so much, Mommy! You are the best mom in the universe.Thank you for sticking by me.I promise you tomorrow will be better.” I found him the next morning dead from a fentanyl overdose. He was 27. His sister & I laid his ashes to rest in the ocean off Oak Island, NC.

My Tribute: Marc Lane Mead, a Navy hero with a heart of gold and a knack for adventure, bid farewell to this world unexpectantly on September 16th, 2025, in Chandler, Arizona -devastating his family & friends.
Born in the dusty landscape of Ridgecrest, California, Marc traded textbooks for military boots, joining the Navy in 1989 with the enthusiasm of a kid trading baseball cards. His whirlwind romance began in a local restaurant, where a waitress caught his eye and promptly reeled him into matrimony faster than he could say “I do.”
During the Gulf War, Marc wasn’t just a medical corpsman; he was a battlefield superhero, earning a Bronze Star for acts of valor that would make Hollywood screenwriters weep with joy. His true superpower, however, was fatherhood – transforming from a Navy tough guy to a sideline cheerleader for his children’s ever-changing hobbies.
From competitive chess to football, Marc was the ultimate dad, probably secretly hoping his twins would become the next Michael Jordan
